Collaboration introduces a creator to an audience that already trusts someone else, which is a considerably faster path to genuine discovery than posting alone and simply hoping to be found by strangers scrolling past, particularly once an audience starts to grow, which becomes obvious only in hindsight, a point that becomes clearer with practice.

The strongest collaborations pair creators with complementary, rather than identical, audiences, since too much overlap limits the genuine benefit for either party, while a thoughtful, complementary pairing introduces each creator's work to people who are likely to appreciate something new and different, even if the benefit is not immediately visible.

Approach a potential collaborator with a clear, specific idea rather than a vague general request to work together sometime, since a concrete pitch respects their time and makes it far easier for them to say yes to a genuinely appealing proposal, something that becomes second nature with enough practice, something worth testing for yourself over time.
