Each platform sets its own rules around what kind of content can be monetised, and understanding these rules protects a creator from a sudden, unexpected loss of income, which is truer the longer you keep at it, particularly when the workload starts to pile up, even when the temptation to skip it is strong.

Policies are updated periodically, so revisiting them occasionally, rather than assuming the rules from when you first joined still apply unchanged, is a genuinely sensible habit, a lesson that usually arrives through direct experience, which rarely feels urgent until it suddenly does, especially for anyone building an audience from nothing.

When a specific piece of content feels borderline under current policy, it is safer to check guidance directly than to assume it will simply be fine, even in quieter, less eventful weeks, a pattern worth noticing sooner rather than later, which is part of why patience matters here, which is worth remembering during a quieter month.
