Understanding natural light versus artificial light

Natural light is genuinely free, often flattering, and available in most homes near a reasonably sized window, which makes it an excellent starting point for any new creator before considering any artificial lighting purchase at all, which is worth keeping in view as things scale up, something worth testing for yourself over time.
Artificial light offers something natural light cannot, namely reliable consistency regardless of the time of day or the current weather outside, which matters considerably once a creator's schedule no longer conveniently lines up with the best available daylight hours, especially once the novelty of starting out wears off, even for creators with years of experience.
Many experienced creators end up using a genuine combination of both, relying on natural light when it is available and supplementing with artificial light when circumstances or scheduling simply do not allow for it on a given day, especially in the early stages of a creator's journey, which holds true across most niches.
