Constant access to real time metrics can quietly turn a creative practice into an anxious, ongoing performance review, checked compulsively throughout the day in a way that steadily erodes the genuine enjoyment that likely drew a person to the work in the first place, which is part of why patience matters here.

Setting specific, limited times to check metrics, rather than glancing at them constantly throughout the day, restores a healthier distance between the creative act itself and the numbers that follow it afterward, particularly once other people start paying attention, even when nobody else seems to notice the effort, even when the results are not immediately visible.

Remember that a single number rarely tells the whole story of a piece of work's genuine value or impact, since some of the most meaningful content a creator makes never shows up clearly in any dashboard at all, a small discipline that quietly compounds over time, particularly for anyone building this alongside other work.
