Merchandise works best when it feels like a genuine extension of a creator's existing identity, rather than a generic product with a logo simply stamped on top, since an audience can usually sense the difference between the two almost instantly, even if the benefit is not immediately visible, even on days when motivation runs low.

Start small with a limited range before investing heavily in inventory, since testing genuine demand with a modest initial run protects a creator from the very real financial risk of unsold stock sitting unused in storage, something that becomes second nature with enough practice, a distinction that matters more with experience.

Quality matters more than most new creators initially expect, since a disappointing product can quietly damage trust in ways that considerably outweigh any short term income it might have generated in the process, even during a genuinely busy week, which is easy to overlook when things feel hectic, a detail many creators only appreciate later.
